Wes Vallentine had the lone goal in the game as the Tigers won their home opener 1-0 over district rival Klein Forest. Connor Bartholomew helped anchor the defense that also received strong play from Trey Benton, Tony Lozano, Travis James and Chris McMillan in earning its second straight shutout. Leeland Karpf was strong as well in goal to get his second clean sheet in 16-5A play.

The Tiger JV team got back in the win column with a resounding victory over Klein Forest. The Tigers led 2-0 at halftime before wearing down the Eagles in the second half with four goals. William Luna had a hat trick for Collins while Chris Zuniga, Jeremy Gonzalez, and Ricardo Martinez added a goal apiece. Emilio Santellan earned the shutout in goal with help from his defenders - Chip Parker, Scott Flower, Andrew Bereck, Brennan Quinn, Alex Chandler, and Nick McCarthy. The central midfield was controlled by Kevin Monterroza, Marcos Padilla, Mark Tiu, and Kyle Chandler.

Varsity - Klein Collins 4, Spring 0
The Tigers struck early and often as they remained undefeated in District 16-5A. Trevor Johnson put Collins on the board first with a long-range strike just over a minute in the game. Taylor Heffner then added a second goal a minute later. Wes Vallentine rounded out the scoring with a goal in each half. The game was delayed due to lightning with just over 11 minutes left in the first half.

The Tiger JV team pulled out a hard-fought victory as Jeremy Gonzalez converted a breakaway opportunity with just over 3 minutes left in the game. Chris Zuniga assisted on the play.
