Darrell Hamlett will be entering his first season as the head coach after serving as JV head coach and varsity assistant coach for the previous five years. His JV's overall record was 45-30-16.
Coach Hamlett is a member of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He holds the NSCAA Advanced Regional diploma, NSCAA state and regional goalkeeper diplomas.
Coach Hamlett grew up playing youth soccer and a variety of other sports in Farragut, Tennessee. He moved with his family to Texas before his junior year of high school. Coach Hamlett was a goalkeeper for two years at SeguinHigh School where he also lettered in cross country. While in Seguin, he played club soccer with the Seguin Sidekicks and also in an adult league in San Antonio. Coach Hamlett played on the SamHoustonState rugby club team and also participated in intramural soccer while at SHSU. He graduated from SamHoustonState in 2001 with a degree in Radio-Television and a minor in English.
Coach Hamlett teaches junior English at Klein Collins.
